Applying the ACC Brand: Environmental Branding

Environmental graphics incorporate elements of graphic design, interior design, industrial design, and more in a space. When used correctly, they can have a major impact by creating a sense of community. The following standards for environmental graphics help ensure ACC campuses look unified and tell our best story.

  • The Office of College Relations & Marketing (OCRM) reviews all environmental graphics requests. Submit a Marketing Request form and describe your request.
  • If the project is approved, the campus partner, Campus Operations, and OCRM will start a workflow process. If denied, reviewers will respond to the request and explain why the project was denied.
  • Before submitting a project, the requester must confirm a budget for printing and installation. For example, the average price for vinyl banners is $15 per square foot.
  • Environmental graphic projects have an extended timeline for execution; plan for at least 12 weeks.
  • Remember to consider replacement costs; most types of graphics average a three-year lifespan.
  • Evaluate graphics every other year and replace as needed to conform to standards for branding or quality.
  • OCRM reserves the right to determine if current graphics need to be replaced or removed if a replacement budget is not available.
